Sim Shalom is a synagogue which seeks to meet the needs of the modern
Jewish paradigm comprising almost 50% of the World's Jewish population- the unaffiliated and interfaith.
Statement of Faith
- We
believe that the Creator is the
One.
- We
believe that there are many paths to the
Creator and that all paths lead to the One.
- We
believe with perfect faith that the One, is not a body, is free from all the properties of matter, and has not any
form whatever.
- We
believe that it is right to pray to the Creator.
- We
believe that the Torah is a precious and spiritual document, written by people, and holy but not
immutable.
- We
believe that the Creator knows
every thought and deed of humankind, and is our spiritual and moral guide.
- We
believe with perfect faith in a Messianic age; which is always upon us
in every generation, beckoning us to accept our responsibility to heal and repair the world.
